Join the City of Poway and the Poway Midland Railroad Volunteers (PMRRV) to celebrate the return to service of the beloved No. 3 Baldwin Steam Locomotive, the only operational steam locomotive accessible to the public in San Diego County. Operating out of Old Poway Park for almost 20 years, the iconic engine last ran in 2016 when critical boiler repairs could no longer be delayed. The PMRRV, a non-profit organization, and the City agreed to jointly fund a new boiler so that this historical treasure, built in 1907, could continue to delight passengers for generations to come.
