Then see Christmas traditions come to life during 'Christmas In The Park', including these activities: Timed Events: • 3:30 pm: Watch scenes from Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker Suite" performed by New West Ballet • 4:00 to 8.00pm: Take a horse-drawn hayride • 5:20 pm: Watch the community Christmas tree lighting • 5:30 pm: Watch Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive by train Continuous Events from 5:45pm: • Make holiday ornaments to help decorate the community Christmas tree • Take a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus in Santa's Village • Ride the steam locomotive train for a nominal fee • Pet animals at the petting zoo • Have your face painted • Listen to live musical holiday entertainment and caroling • Enjoy children’s theater and singing performances • Tap your feet to square dancing performances • Purchase handcrafted holiday gifts • See an HO model train display • Eat holiday sweets and warm dinner foods • Visit the Museum and sing Christmas songs with the piano player • Visit the Nelson House and play old-fashioned games 'Christmas in the Park' is co-sponsored by the City of Poway; the Old Poway Park Action Committee; ER Management; The Home Depot of Poway; and Walter Anderson Nursery.
